Pipelines carrying wastewater are prone to destructive corrosion and erosion. Dr. Cipy synthesized the first polyurea coating of the country, Securea, which cures rapidly to form durable film exhibiting high degree of abrasion and chemical resistance. Securea is recommended for lining inside and outside of sewer pipes, as it has excellent resistance to hydrogen sulphide, the commonly found chemical in foul water.
